We are thrilled to roll out the Benzinga Pro Chat feature that allows our users to communicate with each other through a productive and informational outlet. You can find it on the left side of your screen when you are logged into your platform.
Users now have the ability to reply in a thread directly to other users, add reactions, quote other users, mute, and report! NOTE: The delete option is only available for Admins and Mods, this is not available for regular pro users.
You also have the ability to search through the chat by ticker symbol, a specific user, or keywords!
Search criteria for each:
Ticker Symbols: "$SYMBOL" (example: $APPL for Apple)
Specfic User: "@USERNAME" ( example: @theBser)
Keyword: Anything you type without an above prefix will be search for as a keyword
There are currently 5 different channels within Benzinga Pro Chat that all Pro users can access. The channels that ALL pro members are able to utilize are:

**NOTE: Trial members also have access to all the channels above, but will NOT be able to post in #benzinga-pro-lounge or #bz-day-trading. These channels are read-only for trial members.
The following channels require a correlating subscription and are only available to members of those specific paid plans:
This feature can be used on the platform or popped out for more space. We only ask that you follow three rules.
Keep the language clean.
Be polite to your fellow investors.
Users may report other users if they feel their behavior is inappropriate on any of these levels:
Illegal conversation: SEC violations, suspected pumping and/or dumping, Ponzi schemes, etc.
Sexually explicit references: may include full or partial nudity, pornography, or sexually explicit images.
Abusive actions: racism, sexism, slurs, personal attacks, death threats/ suicide requests, or any other form of hate speech.
Advertisements or solicitation.
Other: does not belong on Benzinga Pro.
User reports will result in the termination of chat privileges. Block times may vary depending on the feature and scale of abuse. Blocks cannot be lifted.
If you are looking to change your chat username, simply access the settings tab on the left side of your screen.
If you would like to update your Username, just go to the blue help chat bubble at the bottom right corner, send us a message requesting to change your username, and PLEASE INCLUDE the new Username that you would like to use in your message!
Once someone on the Support team has informed you that your name is updated just refresh your page and you should see your shiny new, awesome Username appear in the chat**!
**If the new name does not populate you may need to log out and log back in or clear your cookies and cache and log back in for it to do so.
Finally, if you would like to make it so the chat does not populate every single time you open pro, you just need to go to your chat settings (as seen above), scroll down to "Chatroom State" and click on "Remember last state set", then close out your chat! This is to make it so Pro will remember that you want to keep it closed moving forward!
